Baby Noah
Baby Noah
A gender reveal...for your best friend...their first baby.
It feels like last week we were still talking about my best friend's wedding and I was editing the video for it.
**found here **
And now, we are revealing the sex of the baby that this marriage has produced.
It's different when it's your best friend. It's different when you've known this guy since middle school and you've seen each other's vulnerable moments along with the euphoric ones.
Speaking as a "photographer," the pressure of making sure these pictures are good and useable while trying to capture the exact moment of facial expressions.
But as a best friend doing this, it intensifies in pressure. Because of not only dealing with all the mentioned factors, but also being excited while everything is going on and having to suppress that to do your job correctly.
But as nervous as I may have thought I felt, no one was more so than Nathan.
But it all came out in one joyous expression the second the surprisingly sturdy tape gave way.
A boy...baby Noah. Now they can talk to him. I'm sure they did, but not as baby Noah. Now, from the moment that box ripped open, conversations with him will be using his name.
To see the expression on their face really was one of the cooler moments I've experienced.
Pure Joy.
Hugging her dad.
His mom nearly tackled him as soon as the box was opened.
These days are filled with excitement, stress, worries about things you have no business worrying about.
On a day where it's "your day" for only a few more moments, because as soon as you know the gender, you start living for that baby, your baby.
Don't add a non-issue of pictures, or possible video, on family members or someone that wants to enjoy the moment organically too.
I don't have to make this blog "too mushy" wishing Nathan and Gina infinite blessings and love as this next step in their life-long journey has came and gone in beautiful fashion, because I can tell them in person as much as I want...but they know.
I can't wait for the first birthday party and every other big moment that will undoubtedly come next. Tio Donut is ready, Noah.
